On October 16, the COLOSSUS consortium gathered in Lisbon, Portugal, for its Third Project Meeting, bringing together representatives from the partner organisations to review recent progress, discuss ongoing activities, and coordinate the next steps of the project.
The meeting followed the successful completion of the project’s first Operational Demo Day, held on October 15 at Arsenal do Alfeite (AASA) in Almada, Portugal. This important milestone marked the transition from technical development and system integration towards real-world demonstration and validation of COLOSSUS technologies.
Building on this progress, discussions focused on technical coordination across the work packages, the integration of project technologies, and the next stages of development and validation. Particular attention was given to the project’s operational use cases, covering autonomous perimeter surveillance, underwater infrastructure inspection, and support for safer and more efficient port operations.
The meeting reinforced the strong collaboration and shared commitment among consortium partners, highlighting the progress achieved so far and the collective efforts driving COLOSSUS towards its objectives of enhancing maritime security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
