Secure API

Trusted Digital Infrastructure for Smart Port Ecosystems

COLOSSUS enables secure, standardised data exchange across the smart port ecosystem, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and data sovereignty requirements while supporting maritime security and digital port operations.

Secure and Interoperable Data Exchange

We provide the necessary APIs and standardized interfaces, ensuring interoperability and secure data sharing among ports and authorities. Also, we adopt advances by relevant initiatives, IPCSA and DataPorts for secure, reliable and trustworthy data exchange. In addition, we promote data sharing in a privacy-preserving manner by addressing the problem of statistical heterogeneity of the datasets in federated applications, and offering a device-independent API. Finally, we enable self-aware data security by attaching data access policy by extending Web Access Control specification.

COLOSSUS contributes to further advancements in the secure interfaces for information exchange. In particular, we contribute to the standardisation efforts related to the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) requirements of the Convention of Facilitation of International Maritime Traffic (FAL Convention), and to the EMSA CISE developments.
